The first part of Final Fantasy 7 (FF7) Remake could become available in the first quarter of 2017. Latest reports say game developers at Square Enix are now working extensively to release the remastered FF7 early. The Final Fantasy Remake will be released in three separate titles, and each of them has their own release dates. In an interview with Game Informer, game producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed each part of the three-episode series is a full scale game and players should expect the remake is very expansive.
Kitase also added that each installment of FF7 is told from different perpective. He admitted it is like "approaching an unknown territory" in a sense, but developers make sure it is appealing to avid Final Fantasy gamers.
Square Enix not yet announced whether each part will be a full-priced package, or will follow a digital episode structure like Telltale series.

However, it still unknown whether all of the locations and characters from the original title will appear in the remake. It is reported that some plot elements are altered to make it more appealing to new and long-time Final Fantasy fans.
Given that 1997's Final Fantasy game is very popular, Square Enix developers are under a lot of pressure to release a reboot that is both faithful and unique to the source material.
In terms of gameplay, the FF7 Remake has more action-packed battle system based on the released trailer. It looks like the game's battle system is inspired from Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry. In addition, the combat and exploration now take place in real-time, similar to the upcoming Final Fantasy 15.
In the original FF7, the combat system is very basic but it works so well and still has quite a bit of depth. It is interesting to see how the remake will improve it.
