Prepare for another round of action-packed battles as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set to become available on October. It is expected to come with new special multiplayer mode and a bunch of new characters. Now, here's latest round-up of update about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 release date, new mode and new characters.
The sequel is reportedly bigger and much better than the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse, which was released in February 2015. As we mentioned earlier, there are new characters that long-time Dragon Ball fans will immediately recognize.
First, expect to see the appearance of Majin Vegeta in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. This character came into being after heinous wizard Babidi exploited the evil side of Vegeta, making him a more powerful version of himself. Under Bibidi's power, Majin Vegeta fought Goku and his friends.
Aside from Majin Vegeta, Frieza, Belarus, Super 17, Broly, Bardock, Janemba, Dodoria and Zarbon will be added to the roster of playable characters, as per report from GMA News.
Interestingly, developer Bandai Namco is exploring the not-so-popular movies and side-stories of the Dragon Ball universe. It is reported that some of the characters in the twelfth Dragon Ball Z film, "Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn" will be featured in the second Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
As for the new modes, there's the Expert Mission multiplayer mode, where six players have to work together to defeat a super-powerful boss. The boss has the ability to send teammates to different dimensions, separating each member from each other. In order to regroup, each member of the team has to endure sub challenges that will test their fighting skills.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will also introduce a host of returning, improved online modes. With improved character creation system, players will be able to personalize their unique avatars according to their fashion taste. In addition, players can use their avatars in ranked and unranked matches.
Furthermore, the game will offer bigger main hub called Conton City, which is reportedly 7 times bigger than the previous game's Toki Toki City. The new city has enough space to host more than 300 players simultaneously.
The Dragonball Xenoverse 2 runs at 60 Frames-per-second (FPS), which doubles the 30 FPS of the first Xenoverse game. In addition, it boasts twice the number of quests than its predecessor.
With that being said, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Oct. 25. The game's $150 collector's edition contains a statue of Super Saiyan Goku, the Time Patroller's Guide art book, and a steelbook case.
