The gaming beast is here. Acer recently announced its ulimate gaming laptop named Predator 21 X at this year's IFA in Berlin. This massive hardware has 21-inch curved display, two GTX 1080 GPUs and mechanical keys . Now, let's here's the latest update about Acer's Predator 21 X release date, specs and price.
As the name suggests, the screen of Predator 21 X measures 21 inches. It is bigger than than the 18-inch behemoths from Alienware, MSI, and others.
The massive screen of the laptop is curved and looks very impressive. It has 2,560 x 1,200 resolution, which projects 135 pixels per inch. In addition, it has built-in Nvidia's G-Sync adaptive refresh technology for creamy smooth gameplay regardless of framerate.
On the downside, the laptop is very bulky and heavy. It weighs 8kg, making it hard to carry around. Also, it won't simply fit in a standard backpack. However, for gamers who want to replace their desktop, the Predator 21 X contains insane amounts of power inside.
Digital Trends reported it has Intel's new 7th-generation Kaby Lake quad-core processors, 64 GB of RAM, and two GTX 1080 video cards in SLI. These internal features will definitely boost the performance of the laptop to run graphics-heavy games. Addtionally, it should the system better and faster than many high-end gaming desktops in the market.
Gamers will have plenty of space on the Predator 21 X. The laptop has 4TB of SSD storage which is more than enough disk space to store many games.
Acer also installed Tobii eye-tracking in the laptop. The eye scanner allows users to peer around levels and change camera by looking on certain parts of the screen. Deus Ex: Mankinded Divided is one of the latest games that have support for this feature.
The Predator 21 X is armed with four bass-rich speakers and two subwoofers, so gamers will have a blast while enjoying their favorite games. Not only that, there's triangular window on top of the keyboard that shows the fans inside, giving laptop lovers a sort of visual satisfaction.
According to CNET, the Predator 21 X will be priced around $5,000 (£3,820 or AU£6,661). The publication also said the laptop would become available in the first quarter of 2017.
