Supercell certainly had a hit on their hands with Clash of Clans, and it was so popular that it spawned a stand-alone spinoff with Clash Royale. Both games get their share of updates, and each of them are slated to have September updates, and this is the news that we know about the release dates for them. However, mixed with this good news for fans is some bad news as Supercell 2016 has been cancelled.
Clash of Clans September Update Release Date
According to Mobipicker, Supercell's previous update to Clash of Clans didn't address the issue of the steep learning curve for new players, as it was more focused on players with Town Hall Level 11 and above. This caused a lot of the newer players to leave the game, not to mention the huge competition that entered the arena last month with the entrance of Pokemon GO.
As far as the September update is concerned, there will again be new features for Town 11 players, and those who are below.
There are rumors that the September update will have some penalty features along with the Gem Mine that will allow the player to mine for free gems, but Supercell has yet to verify these rumors.
Unfortunately, Supercell has been reportedly "tight-lipped" about the actual date of September update. Most of the rumors of the actual release date point to the third week of September 2016, according to Enstarz.
Clash Royale September Update Release Date
In the meantime, players have been enjoying Clash Royale since its release date at the beginning of the year. Supercell might respond to complaints from gamers to make the Tournaments easier to enter. Yes, apparently the newbies are not sticking around on this Supercell game either, so perhaps those changes will be coming.
A report from Neurogadget has revealed that Clash Royale is receiving some balance changes in order to fix some cards in order to fix some cards that are too powerful along with other cards that are too weak and useless. There are also rumors that it will be easier to find legendary cards in Clash Royale.
As far as the release date for Clash Royale September update is concerned, it is a lot like the information about the September update for Clash of Clans. It is possible that both September updates could come out at the same time, but there are reports that the Clash Royale one could show up in mid-September.
Reasons for ClashCon 2016 Cancellation
Now, there is some news that is going to be very sad for fans of Clash Royale and Clash of Clans, and that is that Supercell cancelled ClashCon 2016. This is, of course, not a good sign for the company, but it might be because the company wants to focus on their gaming properties.
Still, ClashCon 2015 was a big step for the company because it was when they announced big changes like Town Hall 11 and the 3rd hero.
