Few gaming franchises have achieved the level of popularity of Call of Duty. A recent even devoted to the gaming series showed off some of the new features of the game, which includes the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC as well as the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Things are looking really strong for Rebellion, the new Black Ops 3, and there could be problems with the new game of Infinite Warfare.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 New DLC: Rebellion
According to GameSpot, there was a Call of Duty XP event, and during this event, there was a lot of showing off of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's fourth and final DLC: Salvation. Salvation will have four arenas that include an oversized picnic table as well as a western town.
The maps include these particular settings:
- Micro: The Miniature Map that is set on the aforementioned oversized picnic table in this epic battle on a small scale.
- Citadel: Featuring a moat and drawbridge along with a medieval castle, this will have tight corners with close-quarters engagements.
- Outlaw: The western town that is a remake of Standoff from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, to bring in "classic engagements, flanking routes, and strategic positions for long and medium ranged combat".
- Rupture: A high-tech facility created to repair the Earth's atmosphere, and is a remake of World at War's Outskirts.
Just to add to the features, the DLC also has Salvation, the final chapter of the Black Ops Zombies storyline. Not only does it feature zombies, but also giant alien-like monsters, not to mention Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai as they go up against Doctor Monty.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Controversy
As most of you know, there is a new Call of Duty game coming out, and it is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. So far, this game has the hate that is equal to the Ghostbusters reboot, as there are fans who just won't accept how the "grounded" fighting game has reached Independence Day levels of combat.
According to Venture Beat, the game is designed to be "as familiar as possible" to the series' diehard fans, so when you are firing a shotgun or an assault rifle in previous Call of Duty games. Jose Cecot, lead multiplayer designer at Infinity Ward, makers of the game with Activision, wants to really make the players have a smooth transition to the stars.
Cecot states that they are going out of their way not to be "spacey", and that they wanted thing to feel "grounded and believable". Recent movies like The Martian and Interstellar make travelling into space feel realistic and believable, rather than fantastical, like something out of Star Trek.
The Call of Duty conference had people who applauded at the end of the trailers for the game, so there are at least some fans of this new game. In addition to the fan approval, the creators are adding a lot of map content in the game, including one with zombies.
