Treyarch released a new trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Salvation DLC pack. The fourth DLC of the popular shooting game will arrive first on PlayStation 4 next week before it becomes available to Xbox One and PC.
Now, here's everything you need to know about Salvation DLC release date and contents. We'll also give updates on what to expect at the upcoming Call of Duty XP 2016 event.
Publisher Activision announced that the fourth DLC of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will become available for PlayStation 4 on September 6. Since Activision has a deal with Sony right now, the PC and Xbox One version of the DLC will released at a later date.
The Salvation DLC is expected to bring the finale of the Origins Zombies saga. Titled as "Revelations," the last episode will see the return of Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai, who finally come face to face with the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House. Confronted by a great threat, the heroes must fight for life once again to save their immortal souls against hordes of zombies.
In a press release, Studio Head of Treyarch Mark Lamia said the Zombies mode has been a "true labor of love" for the game developers. He also stated that the Salvation DLC will be a "defining and epic experience" for gamers who followed the saga for years.
Aside from the Revelations, the fourth DLC pack will come with new contents and features for the main Call of Duty game. The multiplayer mode will receive for new maps. The new locations are listed below.
- Citadel: a medieval themed map in an ancient castle. This multiplayer map has tight corners, moat and drawbridge that will give players unique movement opportunities.
- Micro: a mid-sized battled field that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table.
- Outlaw: this map is a western styled version of the popular Standoff map from Black Ops 2.
- Rupture: an update version of the classic Outskirts map from Call of Duty World at War. This version has high-tech facility that is built by futuristic society desperate to fix the Earth's atmosphere.
Meanwhile, let's talk about the upcoming Call of Duty XP event. IGN reported the gaming conference will happen from Sep. 2 to Sep. 4, with a keynote on Friday, September 2 at 10 a.m. PT. Gamers should expect feature panels about Call of Duty World League Championship, Call of Duty universe, and the release of Infinite Warfare multiplayer.
