After month of speculations, the massive Mortal Kombat XL DLC is finally coming to PC. Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios teased fans on Twitter that the Windows PC version of Mortal Kombat X is coming very soon.
Boon, Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm creative director, has an interesting post on Twitter over the weekend. His post has a "cryptic" message inside, which is not too difficult to decipher for avid Mortal Kombat fans.
Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care? pic.twitter.com/rvq6spBojz

"Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care?" the post says. By looking at the capital letters of the post, one can easily notice the term "MKXL PC". In addition, the post comes with a computer-y component image.
For more evidence that Mortal Kombat XL is really coming to PC, let's take a look at Boon's Twitter poll two months ago. In it, the creative director asked gamers on what they most wanted to see. One of the options in the poll was a PC version of Mortal Kombat XL with support for GGPO (a computer code system for smooth, lag-free online matches). The option earned 48% support of the 10,000+ voters.
Mortal Kombat XL contains the base game and the post-launch DLCs of Mortal Kombat X. It includes the first batch of DLC characters, such as Jason Voorhees, Tremor, Tanya and Predator. It also comes with all of the Cold War costumes, Klassic Skins and some limited edition skins like the Steel Blue Sub-Zero. Additionally, it contains the game's last batch of new characters -- Triborg, the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacr, and Bo' Rai Cho.
Interestingly, a listing in SteamDB shows the details about the MKXL Enhanced Online Beta. Interested gamers should visit Mortal Kombat X's Steam page to join the beta. It is only available until August 29, so hurry up now.
For those unaware, the first DLC pack of Mortal Kombat X was released to PC and gaming consoles. However, the second DLC pack and Mortal Kombat XL did not reach PC gamers immediately. Now, they can finally experience the awesome contents of the expansion.
NetherRealm has not yet revealed the release date of Mortal Kombat XL on PC, but we expect it will become available in the next couple of weeks as developers do not want disappoint fans.
Mortal Kombat X was originally released in April 2015. The Steam version of the game has mixed reception from gamers who have criticized Warner Bros. and NetherRealm for the game's lack of support on PC.
With that being said, let's wait for more announcement from game publisher and developer. Stay tuned with us for more update.
