Samsung is set to release not just one but two devices next month. Together with Galaxy Note 7, the South Korean tech firm is now preparing to launch the new Galaxy Tab S3 in Europe. The new tablet is said to have upgraded the processor and new operating system.
Rumor has it that the launching of the new tablet will happen on September 2. The event will certainly attract gadget lovers who have been looking for the improved version of Galaxy Tab S2. As for the other device, the Galaxy Note 7 released in the U.S. earlier this month and it will land in Europe for the first time.
The forthcoming Galaxy Tab S3 previously appeared on TENAA, which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC. The certification body published the images of the next-generation Galaxy Tab along with some specifications.
The upcoming Galaxy Tab S3 would become available in two versions: 8-inch and 9.7-inch models. The tablet has model number SM-T719C. Regarding design, the tablet looks similar to the current Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. The two have the same design, dimensions, and weight.
Inside, however, there's a huge difference between the two. The forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 will be equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, as compared to Galaxy Tab S2 8.0's 1.9 GHz Exynos Octa 5433 processor.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S3 will boast 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable to up to 128 GB via microSD slot. The cameras of the tablet are tipped to be 8MP at the back and 2MP at the front.
We also hear that Samsung will use Micro-USB rather than USB-C port for the charging technology of Galaxy Tab S3. The bigger 9.7-inch model will house 5,870mAh battery, while the 8-inch model will use the 4,000mAh battery. The two models might have Samsung's fast charging tech.
For the operating system, the Galaxy Tab S3 might have Android Marshmallow right out the box. With the recent launching of new Android Nougat system, the tablet would be one of the first devices to receive the new firmware.
Take note that Samsung has not yet confirmed the exact specifications of the new tablet, but it is expected to be better than the previous model. As we mentioned earlier, the next Galaxy Tab will have powerful CPU to process information better.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 7 is now available in the U.S and other select markets. The 5.7-inch device costs $900.
