The Seattle Seahawks are slowly losing their Super Bowl contender status as fans begin to worry about the health of Russell Wilson. The young quarterback, who has been the subject of countless criticisms especially in light of the comparisons made between him and Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck or Drew Bees, remains a target in the gridiron. Without a reliable backup to allow him to pass over the reins, the Kam Chancellor keeps relying on luck in terms of their leader's health. However, a Mark Sanchez trade might just be the solution to the struggling NFL team.
The Denver Broncos are in a unique position once again as they currently have three healthy and promising quarterbacks in their roster. Pretty much like their Super Bowl winning season, where both Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler had the capacity to face the likes of Cam Newton and Tom Brady, the Von Miller team has an abundance of leaders in Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch.
However, it appears that the Denver Broncos are looking into a Mark Sanchez trade this preseason. In the past games, football fans were pleasantly surprised at how Trevor Siemian blossomed into a potential Peyton Manning replacement. With rookie Paxton Lynch gaining on the veterans, it seems that keeping Mark Sanchez would no longer be practical for the Denver Broncos.
With these in mind, a Mark Sanchez trade could just be the answer to the need for a reliable backup quarterback in the Seattle Seahawks. For their part, the Denver Broncos could get a lot for the value of their veteran star instead of letting him rot in the bench this season. Will this be a good fit with the Russell Wilson squad?
At this point, the possibility of a Mark Sanchez trade remains a rumor. The Denver Broncos are still insistent on their stand that all three quarterbacks offer valuable benefits to the NFL team. Hence, the idea of the Seattle Seahawks signing the former Philadelphia Eagles backup is still in the speculation stage to date.
"I'm going to play the guy that I think is best for our team. We have three guys out there battling," shared Gary Kubiak of the quarterback situation of the Denver Broncos. The head coach further noted, "We evaluate them just like we evaluate every other player. You go out and run plays... At the end of the day, it's your job to protect the ball. That's the most important thing. That's something that coming out of (Saturday) wasn't good enough."
