Hence, it comes as no surprise that the basketball teams across the league are willing to help him in his journey back to the NBA.
Among the most promising NBA team to possibly sign Lamar Odom this offseason is the Los Angeles Lakers. Since the 1999 first-round draft pick spent most of his basketball career with the D'Angelo Russell team, rumors are rife that Mitch Kupchak is open to signing the star for a minimum deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers general manager added, "And that's not because of the way he plays basketball. That's because of who he is."
Meanwhile, newly minted Los Angeles Lakers head coach, Luke Walton, also shared his admiration of Lamar Odom in an interview following the near death experience of the former husband of Khloe Kardashian. He said, "Lamar is a brother to me. I absolutely love that man."
At this point, no official confirmation has been given about the possibility of a Lamar Odom NBA comeback. However, speculations are swirling about the plans of the former Los Angeles Clippers star to get back in shape and train with the pros once again.
The news of a Lamar Odom NBA return surfaced when a clip, which featured a conversation between Kris Jenner and the basketball star, hinted on his potential league-related plans.
"Have you tried to play basketball again?" asked Kris Jenner in the controversial episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. She added, "Just for fun, like dribble a ball or bounce it around for a minute?"
The response of Lamar Odom later on garnered attention and fostered hope among his fans that he might reconsider his retirement decision. He answered, "Yeah. I'm gonna go to this training facility in Santa Barbara, a lot of pros and guys that would be pros work out there."
