The 2017 Chevy Bolt is one of the most anticipated cars of the year. Latest reports say General Motors has partnered with LG Electronics to develop the electronic parts of the vehicle. The collaboration is expected to produce an all-electric vehicle that can run for more than 200 miles.

General Motors has set its hopes high on getting a huge success for the Bolt. The electronic vehicle (EV) has a 200-mile rated range from a 60 kWh battery pack. These figures make the Bolt competitive against other EVs from different car manufacturers such as Tesla and Volkswagen.
With a help from LG, the 2017 Chevy Bolt will definitely have optimum performance on the road. The South Korean tech firm is producing the power inverter module, battery pack, electric drive motor onboard charger, high-power distribution module, accessory power module and power line communication module of the car.
According to Digital Trends, the Bolt will be capable of running from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 7 seconds, making it one of the quickest EV cars in the market. Its motor is a permanent-magnet synchronous AC that chunks out 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.
Inside, the Bolt feels roomy and can hold everything short of four-by-eight building materials. The front seat is very comfortable and the rear bench is chair high with ample foot room. Drivers can also use the car's 10.2-inch reconfigurable touchscreen in the center. Plus, there's an eight-inch electronic cluster behind the wheel which provides essential car information.
Furthermore, the 2017 Bolt has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It has other car essentials like automatic climate control, smartphone connectivity and specially designed navigation system.
In an interview Car and Driver, chief engineer Josh Tavel said the Bolt is a pure battery-powered electric vehicle with no combustion. Buyers can get the optional 240-volt AC charger to charge the car at home or work. This charger replenishes 25 miles of range per hour and powers up a fully depleted pack in nine hours.
Estimates show the 2017 Bolt's starting price is around $37,500 before the $7,500 federal tax credit.
General Motors has reportedly started the pre-production at its plant in Orion Township, Michigan. The finished Bolts are expected to become available later this year.
