With Comic-Con happening last weekend, most know that Hollywood loves to use the convention as a means of spotlighting their films or TV shows.  Fortunately, these Netflix Marvel shows are based on comic book source material, so fans got to hear the latest about Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2, as well as the first seasons of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders.  Comic-Con gave the release dates and new trailers.

Daredevil Season 3

Season 3 of Daredevil is finally confirmed with a tweet from Marvel's Twitter account, according to Ubergizmo.  This is coming soon, but it might not be in 2017 with The Defenders coming soon.

Jessica Jones Season 2

There wasn't really any information on Comic-Con about the second season of Jessica Jones, but it does sound like it will happen.  Again, it sounds like The Defenders could interrupt that, so it might not be in 2017.

Luke Cage

The trailer for Luke Cage shows a terrific scene where Luke marches into a place and just wrecks stuff, busts down doors, and takes out goons.  It is very reminiscent of scenes in Daredevil that are long and action-packed down a hallway, seemingly done in one take.

At Comic-Con, there was a conference which had the creators and cast including Frank Whaley, Theo Ross, Simone Missick, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, and Mike Colter as the title character.  Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Claire Temple (aka The Night Nurse) which she has played on Daredevil and Jessica Jones

Luke Cage will premiere on September 30, 2016 on Netflix, and it will focus on the Harlem Hero.

Iron Fist

Then there is a trailer for Iron Fist, which finally reveals something about the show.  Granted, it really isn't much.  It does show the title character, played by Finn Jones, who looks to be in some kind of airplane accident at a young age.  It looks like Daniel "Danny" Rand (Iron Fist's real name) wakes up to see two monks staring down at him.

The comic book origin of the character has Danny in the city of K'un L'un, a mystical place where he learns the mystical arts that form his superpower.  The trailer shows Danny in the city (presumably  in New York City), tied to a mattress and then punching through a wall.

So, what will Danny be punching on the show as far as bad guys are concerned?  Well, there isn't a release date on this, but it is expected that it will be out in 2017.

The Defenders

There was even less shown on The Defenders, but there was a trailer.  All it showed was logos of the heroes being blended together to form the word "Defend".  Oh, "Come As You Are" from Nirvana played in the background, as well as a voice over of what sounds like the Daredevil character Stick (Scott Glenn) saying:  "You think the four of you can save New York?  You can't even save yourselves."

The Punisher

CNET reports that Jon Bernthal, the actor that plays The Punisher when he appeared on Daredevil Season 2, made an appearance at Comic-Con, promising about the responsibility of playing the character, knowing what it means to fans.
