If there is one thing that Xbox players look forward to every month, it is the free games. Granted, they are only available for those Games With Gold subscribers, but it is worth the investment to get it. The month of July is more than half-over, which usually means that most are looking forward to the ones that will be available for August. Generally, Major Nelson posts the new games for the next month before the new one starts, and there are some predictions for August.
So far, there are only two more weeks left in the month, but there is a lot of want from Games With Gold subscribers to see what is free for August. According to Ecumenical News, it is possible that there could be a AAA title coming, and that could be Ryse: Son of Rome, which was something like God of War. Of course, this has not been confirmed, but it would be interesting if this prediction came true.
Another prediction could be none other than Red Dead Redemption. I have to admit that it seems a little unlikely, as I believe the game is headed for imminent release anyway. However, if Rockstar and Take Two wanted to do a promotion for Red Dead Redemption 2, this would be a great start.
In the meantime, I would highly suggest playing the games available for Xbox. Available for the Xbox One for the duration of July is The Banner Saga 2, which is described by the Steam Store as "this epic, story-based, role-playing game continues its emotional journey across a breaking world. Bold leadership decisions, wise use of resources, and skillful battle tactics are vital to ensure your Viking clans make it through alive".
Available from July 16th to August 15th is Tumblestone. According to The Geek Church, this is a match 3 game not like unlike Bejeweled and Candy Crush. This one is different as you have to take a way blocks one at a time, and the order does matter, or you will lose the level.
As for Xbox 360, there is only one option, but it is a good one. From July 1 to July 15, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was available, but now, there is a really interesting option with Tron: Evolution, available until the end of the month.
Tron: Evolution is a third-person action-adventure game which was originally a tie-in to the film Tron: Legacy and is a direct sequel to Tron: Betrayal. It is an action game with racing and role-playing game elements incorporated. It has both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, and it has acrobatics and combat.
