Apart from the reported feud he now has with former teammate Russell Westbrook, the decision of KD to join Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson also ignited the anger of Houston Rockets star James Harden. Hence, it comes as no surprise that The Beard is urging Russell Westbrook to join him in beating the Golden State Warriors as the Western Conference kings next NBA season.
A team-up between former teammates James Harden and Russell Westbrook could be the answer to the Golden State Warriors super team. With the shooting prowess of both NBA All-Star players, the Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant tandem could face some serious competition. Moreover, the entry of Westbrook to the Houston Rockets roster could help the Jason Terry squad move up in the Western Conference.
At the moment, none of the parties concerned have commented on the possibility. However, fans are confident that the Houston Rockets could be in the running if the Russell Westbrook trade rumors do turn out to be legitimate. With the departure of Dwight Howard from the Houston Rockets and into the Atlanta Hawks, the James Harden squad has enough cap space to accommodate another superstar.

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook is said to be "ticked off" the move of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors. While the 2014 MVP decided to play alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to redeem the championship from the clutches of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Westbrook is said to be gearing up for a bloody NBA season against gis former teammate.
"Westbrook has given the Thunder no indication that he currently wants out," revealed Anthony Slater of NewsOK. He added, "To the contrary, one source described him as ticked off about the Kevin Durant departure, determined for this new challenge and eager for the season to start: 'He's ready.'"
As for Kevin Durant, the latest Golden State Warriors superstar admitted that he expected the backlash following his decision to leave Oklahoma. Although he was aware of the consequences of his actions especially to teammates Steven Adams, Dion Waiters and Westbrook, KD shared that he needed to leave to achieve his NBA championship dreams.
"I thought about (being perceived as the proverbial villain), but in life when you make decisions based on everyone else, I think it's the wrong decision," said Kevin Durant. He added, "I can't make a decision on my life because everybody else is going to be upset about it. I just told myself to put me first, to really think about what I wanted, and that's what I wanted. We'll see what happens."
