Sony's PlayStation 4 system has many surprises for its avid users. Along with new and exciting games, the hardware will reportedly have an improved version which will be released later this year. The PS4 Neo is rumored to have 4K capabilities and powerful GPU.
According to PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida, the release of PlayStation NEO does not mean the PlaySation 4 is going to end earlier than expected. Instead, Neo and PS4 will complement each other. The former will be the most high-end model while the latter will be the cheaper version and still capable of supporting Triple AAA games.
"It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4...we will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle," PlayStation president Andrew House told in GameSpot.
The PS4 Neo did not appear at this year's E3 gaming expo. However, several industry experts claim Sony might unveil the hardware at Gamescom in August, or perhaps even at the Tokyo Game Show this September.
In the meantime let's check out the upcoming games for PS4 console. Sony surprised many gamers during E3 2016 by presenting the next installment of the highly successful "God of War" franchise. According to creative director Cory Barlog, the reigning protagonist of the previous God of War titles will have a new companion in the form of his own son. Kratos' son is integral to the game, as per reports from the Verge. In addition, there's a button on the PS4 controller that is dedicated to interactions with the boy.
As of new, the new God of War is in the development stage. Check out its trailer here.
For another PS4 game, game developer Bioware said the controversial ending choices of Mass Effect 3 will not affect the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda. The original Mass Effect trilogy utilize its Paragon/Renegade system to clarity everything regarding good or bad. However, the new Mass Effect title will not use that system.
Mass Effect creative director Mac Walters told in Games Radar that Andromeda will be loosening things a little bit. He added gamers were now looking for more "shades of grey" to have some entertainment.
Bioware has not yet announced the official release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda. The game has been in development since late 2012, and this year's E3 event marks the third year in a row the game has been teased.
With that said, PlayStation 4 owners should expect new and exciting titles will be released this year. Stay tuned with Gospel Herald for more update.
