"It's time to stand up and have a voice, instead of bowing to the homosexual, perverted agenda that's taken over this nation," an unidentified woman walking through a Target store with what is assumed her family says in a video posted by YouTube user Loredana Camelia, which has gone viral since the video was posted Saturday. It received more than 390,890 views at the time this article was published.
The woman, who claims to be the mother of 12 children, also yells the following remarks: "I'm very disgusted by this wicked practice. Target does not protect mothers and children. Mothers, get your children out of this store!"
The woman marches through the store, holding a Bible in the air, as she condemns Target's new gender identity bathroom policy.
The woman began her protest by shouting Target's Mothers Day signs are "a deception" and Target does not love mothers and children. "This is not love and they have proven it by opening their bathrooms to perverted men," the woman said.
The woman makes her way to the front of the store with the children and a man following her and exits shouting, "I wouldn't spend a penny of my money here." The man following behind her can be heard shouting, "The judgment of God is coming on this nation."
The video comes after Target's CEO Brian Cornell spoke publicly about the store's new bathroom policy, which allows any transgender individual shopping at Target to be able to use whichever bathroom they believe corresponds with their gender identity.
Target said their decision to change their policy stands with their long history of "embracing diversity and inclusion."
Target's new policy received backlash, particularly from Christian group American Family Association, who started a petition against the retailer that has more than 1.2 million signatures.
AFA President Tim Wildmon personally delivered the petition to Target executives May 11, offering what he believed to be a common-sense approach and a reasonable solution to the issue of transgendered customers: a unisex bathroom. However, Wildmon reported that while Target representatives were gracious and respectful, they rejected his offer. He said they repeated what Target CEO and Chairman Brian Cornell said during an interview on CNBC, "We're going to continue to embrace our belief in diversity and inclusion..."
Wildmon calls this "code-words for sticking with its dangerous policy of allowing men use women's dressing and bathrooms."
