'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Episode 10 Recap: 'All I Want is You'; Episode 11 Air date and Preview

Last week on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, we got to finally find out what happened to Meredith Grey, and follow her in the emotional and dramatic journey as she recovered and learned about forgiveness of herself and others. This week's episode was a little easier for this heart to take, but we do get to see some more progression in the plots that have been suspended in the mid-season cliffhanger.

Meredith opens up the episode telling her therapist, "I am fine." Whenever someone says that, of course you know that they don't really mean it. Meredith's good at faking happiness, but it's pretty clear when she tells people that she's happy, that it's not really true.

This whole episode moves in and out of Meredith's therapy session- where Bailey has sent her to make sure she doesn't have PTSD, and can work effectively after her traumatic attack. Meredith uses a lot of avoidance tendencies while speaking with her counselor. She talks about her friends instead of what she is experiencing. She is hiding her true feelings. One does not need a degree in Psychology. Even an untrained eye could see this.

Meredith realizes in her counseling sessions that she has been very good at being alone- with a flashback montage to all the people who have left in her life- her mother, Lexie in the plane crash,Derek- when he left her at the candle-lit house, and also when he died, and then there was also Christina leaving in the taxi. We'll come back to this later.

Meanwhile, Meredith is still talking about her friends, and we get to flash in and out of scenes with others, because we have to know what's happening with other plots, right?

Owen and Riggs are still fighting. Now we know that Riggs was with Owen's sister the day they "lost her." No detail is given out on the nitty gritty yet, though, Owen tells Amelia that his sister loved Riggs, and that he trusted Riggs to take care of her. Amelia tells him that he is family, and therefore, Owen should give him a second chance. Owen ends up trusting Riggs enough to do surgery with him, and they work perfectly in sync, only to start fighting again right after the surgery.

Alex and Jo? We still don't know if there will be an engagement although Meredith's therapist asks her if she's in love with Alex, and Meredith responds by laughing hysterically. Speculation on the possibility of them ever getting together? We know that Alex really cares about Meredith, and it sure was heart-warming the last episode when he climbed into her hospital bed to calm her, and she heard his voice for the first time...

Anyway, Alex does show tenderness toward a patient who "fires" Alex because he wouldn't take chances with a surgery, and she goes to Callie and Maggie instead because they are willing to do a more experimental surgery that could give good results. Jo sees the tenderness that Alex shows his patient through it all, though, and that may win her over. There is somewhat of a closure in their relationship- as they are making out in Meredith's car by the end of the show.

Back to Meredith. Remember how she realized how good she was at being alone? Well, she also self-realized through her therapy session, how not alone she really is. She has her friends there, and even if she wants to be alone, they are there. She realizes that it's not just about her "person," but also about her "people." And she has a lot of people. We just have to hope that no more of her people will die on her, because her life is so tragic!

Meredith is asked the all important question at the end, "What do you want to do?"

So, what will Meredith want to do? I guess we'll find out next episode. But, good news, we will get to focus on Jackson and April, and finally get answers next week.
