Along with possible trade of Seattle Seahawks' tight end Jimmy Graham, it has also been revealed that the Seahawks would not have a fair trade value in strong safety Kam Chancellor.
According to ESPN (via My North West), it is believed that Seahawks could have probably gotten up to a pick for a second round by trading Chancellor in 2015, when the latter was holding the reins tightly over sadness with his contract.
It was also revealed that the trade market value for the Chancellor do not have the same peak as the offseason's, suggesting that the strong safety's value on the field benefits the Seahawks when compared to being a trade chip.
In a statement, ESPN writer John Clayton said that at that time, Houston might have been willing to put a second up, and that was rare because the way it worked right no. He also mentioned that one started with the idea teams treasured first, second, and third round picks, adding that any trade one was going to talk about was going to be a fourth-round pick or lower, unless it was going to be Graham or unless it was gonna be a quarterback.
Clayton also suggested that getting rid of Chancellor means breaking the number one defense in the league as far as fewest points allowed. The writer added that the strong safety was a core-group guy on a team that still had a run, and this indicates that his decline should be dealt with during or after the season.
For Clayton, Chancellor's value was not going to equal to his value for the team, so he did not anticipate any trade, adding that a team had got to keep him to keep that value, as the defense was still so good.
In other news, Seahawks tight end Graham could be traded to one of these three teams - The New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and Green Bay Packers - according to Sports Cheat Sheet (via The Inquisitr).
As per the publication, the Jets could be a viable destination for Graham should the Seahawks opt to trade him; however, they would not have much money amounting to around $12 million in cap space. The publication added that the Jets had had eight receptions for 95 yards from their tight end, along with Jeff Cumberland and Kellen Davis, in 2015.
Graham could also be traded to the Falcons. The team's tight ends are Jacob Tamme ad Levin Toilolo. The former had a good performance in 2015, serving as the second players in the team to receive with 59 receptions for 657 years with only one touchdown.
The Green Bay Packers is another option for trading Graham; however, it should be ensured that Graham's health is taken into consideration since the team had several injured players last season and opening the new season with an injured player is not a good idea.
With his possible trade, Graham should be reassessed by the Seahawks to ensure that the tight end is going to worth trading.
