In line with the upcoming Mobile World Congress this month, several tech companies like LG, Samsung, and Sony are set to launch their flagships.
Samsung is set to launch their upcoming flagship product(s), the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, at the Mobile World Congress on Feb. 21. According to rumors, the handset devices are going to come with a larger sized version, which adds to the growing ensemble of the Korean tech company.
For the record, Samsung has made itself one of the faces of the Mobile World Congress, when it revealed the Samsung Galaxy S5 few years ago and the Samsung Galaxy S6 in 2015. With the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7, it looks like Samsung is going to stand as a prime competitor among tech companies.
Lenovo has previously owned Motorola, following the latter's affiliation with Google. The China-based tech giant is set to move on from the Motorola branding, as it pushes itself to focus on their present product lines. To boost its reputation in the market, it is assumed that the firm engages with leveraging the Motorola brand, along with its decent smartphone releases in both rising markets and developing territories. At the Mobile World Congress, Lenovo is set to introduce new handsets under the Moto and Vibe brands.
Also known as Perfume, the One M10 is set to get the spotlight in line with HTC's upcoming releases. While information is limited with regard HTC's reveal at the Mobile World Congress, it is assumed that the tech company is going to release the One M10 at the event, since it also took the opportunity to roll out its flagship One M9 at the same event in 2015. The handset is reported to lose its BoomSound feature, which may reportedly disappoint fans, since the said feature stands as one of the strongest selling points of the device. Instead, a speaker grille is set to be featured by the device, as per a recently leaked photo.
It is assumed that Xiaomi is set to reveal its Mi 5 at the Mobile World Congress. According to Times News UK (via International Business Times), Xiaomi's forthcoming device will feature a 5.2-inch display, in addition to 1080 by 1920 high-definition screen resolution. The electronics company is rumored to unveil two models, one featuring 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of native storage space while other variant featuring 4GB of RAM, along with a 64GB built-in storage.
While it is assumed that Sony would give fans the Xperia Z6 as a follow-up to its fifth product line installment at the Mobile World Congress, the device is not going to be at the event, according to PC Advisor UK. As per the publication, the tech company is believed to be announcing a new mid-range device, the Xperia C6, instead. While information is limited about the aforementioned device, it is rumored that the Xperia C6 is going to feature a 5.5-inch display, which is half inch less that the C5 Ultra's 6-inch screen.
LG is another Korean tech giant set to take part at the Mobile World Congress on Feb. 21. Following the release of the LG G4, it is assumed that the company is going to unveil a new flagship, the LG G5. Regarding design, the LG G5 is set to be more digital in appearance when compared to the LG G4, according to Android Headlines. As per the publication, the G5 will shift away from the iconic leather back of its predecessor, transforming with a sleek and minimal look. With the dimensions of 149.4 by 73.9 by 8.2mm, the upcoming android device is believed to have no significant changes from its predecessors.
