Everyone is already waiting for news on Macbook Pro 2016. While there are no confirmed reports of MacBook Pro being upgraded this year, there are already reports of what the upgrades it should have to rival the newer and more cutting-edge laptop models out there.
According to the Inquisitr, Apple's Macbook Pro 2016 will benefit from having an Intel Skylake Processor. With this, it will offer a more powerful performance with enhanced battery life. The latest models of the Macbook Pro, both 13 and 15 inches, should have at least a 4K screen to be considered top of the line, considering the other laptop models they are up against. One of the strong competitors against the Macbook Pro is Dell XPS 13.
Tech Radar gave raving reviews of the laptop model, describing it as a "revolution." Dell XPS is said to be packed with a high-resolution screen as well as serious processing power, making the 13.3-inch Macbook Pro Retina, look surprisingly unspecial. Apple must do something about this on the Pro 2016.
To compete against Windows 10 touchscreen laptops, which drew their own fans, Macbook Pro 2016 might have a touchscreen ability as well, Inquisitr reports. Forbes reported that even though Apple never shown interest in having a touchscreen feature in their laptops, the move towards that direction might be inevitable. "I think [a touch Mac] is inevitable. There's nothing from the supply chain or from Apple that supports that right now-I just think it's inevitable... I don't know if that's two years out or what," an IDC analyst told Forbes. The analyst added that Apple is merely practicing a "wait-and-see" attitude in the meantime.
Digitimes has reported that Apple saw a flat shipment performance with their current laptop models, which can only be changed this year if it will release a new Macbook as well as other iMac products. While the report did not specifically highlighted the Macbook Pro 2016, some sources said that Apple is indeed planning to release some new Macbook models this year. "Makers in the supply chain are expected to start producing new 12- and 13.3-inch MacBooks at the end of the first quarter or in early second quarter, and 15-inch models in the third quarter, said the sources.
Digitimes, however, clarified that in now way is Apple sliding on its game. Despite the flat performance of its laptops, revenues for the tech giant increased. "For all of 2015, shipments of Mac series products were up 4.03% to 20.38 million units, while Mac revenues increased 2.61% to US$25.273 billion, according to the company," Digitimes stated.
