With the recent death of "Harry Potter" actor Alan Rickman, "Harry Potter" fans have paid tribute to the actor at a live event.

People and "Harry Potter" fans at the "Celebration of Harry Potter" event raised their wands, to pay honor following Rickman's death. The event took place at the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. The attendees wore their wizard robes and the park performer who played Severus Snape also joined the special moment.

Many people dressed up as Snape at the event, with some carrying around little signs that said "Always," as per E!News. However, the wand raising moment gave people the goosebumps outside the London area of the park, according to the publication.

According to Cinema Blend, the wand raising moment was the first event of its kind, following the actor's death, barring the deaths in "Harry Potter" films. People joined the tribute activity, regardless of gender and age. The number of children who were present at the event could not be identified, since many adults took part at the event and covered them.

The "Celebration of Harry Potter" is viewed as the San Diego Comic-Con for the "Harry Potter" set and it has become a yearly event after Universal Studio began their "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" park area few years ago.

In the "Harry Potter" storyline, the wizards and witches raised their wands following Albus Dumbledore's death. The master wizard's funeral indicated that all lessons at Hogwarts were suspended and all examinations were postponed. Every student and professor wore dress robes.

Rickman has been known by people and "Harry Potter" fans as Severus Snape in the films inspired by J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" books. With the live event, fans had the opportunity to bid farewell to the renowned actor. It is also assumed that the actor, who helped bring Harry Potter to life, would be greatly missed.

Meanwhile, the wizarding world invites people and "Harry Potter" back to Potter's world in David Yates' upcoming "Harry Potter" spin-off film entitled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Set in 1926 New York, a time when magic was prohibited in the area, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" centers on magizoologist Newt Scamander and his suitcase full of magical beasts, which got away and caused chaos. The film is based in the 2001 book of the same name writter by "Harry Potter" author Rowling.

The film stars "Les Miserables" actor Redmayne as Scamander, along with Katherine Waterston as Tina, Dan Alison Sudol as Queenie, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Colin Farrell as Graves, and Ezra Miller as Kredan, among others.

Yates' "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is set to premiere in theaters in United States on Nov. 18, 2016.
