Apart from the gigantic dinosaurs, one thing memorable of the 2015 movie "Jurassic World" was Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) running away from the creatures in heels. Some fans had a few laughs over that. With a sequel happening, many are wondering if Claire will come back sporting the same shoes.
Speaking with E Online, Howard shared some details on the sequel. She and Chris Pratt, who plays Owen, decided to reprise their roles in the follow-up. Even though the plot lines and story details are still under wraps in the meantime, the actress revealed some of the changes fans can see of her role. She added that she was hoping her infamous high-heels probably will not make an appearance in the movie. "... Claire is a different person now. The person she is at the end of the [first] movie is not the person she was in the beginning. Her armor of sorts was that white, pristine outfit with heels in a very corporate environment and stuff, and the chick at the end - totally different. So yeah... it better not be heels," she said.
Earlier, it has been reported that "Jurassic World 2" may be directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, replacing Colin Trevorrow. Trevorrow however still has a meaty role to play in this sequel. Instead of being the director, he is now the screenwriter and the executive producer. While the news is not confirmed yet, Bayona is a logical choice considering his directing portfolio. Deadline reported that among the potential directors, Bayona is a favorite. He was once slated to work on Paramount Pictures' "World War Z" but withdrew for still unknown reasons.
His work on the 2007 horror film, "The Orphanage" starring Belen Rueda however, was quite a memorable one. His work on the 2012 disaster drama "The Impossible" received raving reviews as well. Cinema Blend reported that if the project is indeed given to Bayona, subsequent events are going to be quite interesting. This is because Bayona has not worked on big budget films yet.
Who the director for "Jurassic World 2" will be is crucial, considering how well its predecessor did. "Jurassic World" earned an astounding $1.6 billion against a $150 million budget. It was the second-highest grossing firm of 2015.
"Jurassic World 2" has a release date of June 22, 2018. A lot can happen from now on this date. More details on the possible plot lines might be released in the coming months.
