First official photos of "Fuller House" have been released. Instead of just their house, as was shown in the first trailer, these pictures provided a glimpse of what the Tanner family looks like now, twenty years later.
Netflix released four still images from the set of "Full House" reboot, "Fuller House" on Thursday, making fans anticipate the series even more. Many cannot believe the cast they have come to love in the 90s is actually back. In one picture, fans can see a now adult D.J. Tanner, played by Candace Cameron Bure, hugging both her on-screen sister Stephanie, as played by Jodi Sweetin, as well as best friend Kimmy Gibbler, as played by Andrea Barber. As the trio engages in the sweetest group hug ever, the rest of the iconic family are seated on the coach, looking on and apparently touched.
Three more pictures presented the trio. There's one where the three appeared with two of DJ's three sons and Kimmy's teenage daughter, Ramona. The family seems to be in a serious discussion of something important. In the other one, the three look engrossed with something or someone while standing up. DJ can be seen holding a baby. The fourth and last one showed the three ladies just conversing with each other.
Fans who cannot wait for the Netflix reboot can expect all the cast of the original series to appear on the duration of the show, except for the Olsen twins. The twins rejected the chance to return and reprise their role as the youngest family of the Tanner family, Michelle.
According to the show's executive producer Bob Boyett, the twins have valid reasons for refusing to do the reboot. Speaking with People magazine, Boyett said Ashley refused the show because she already left the acting world for good. She has not acted since she was 17 and could not imagine doing it again comfortably. On Mary-Kate's part, she said it is a bad timing for the two of them. Since she knows Ashley does not want to do it, she said it would have to be her. However, now is not the right time for her.
In a related news, Carly Rae Jepsen was recently revealed as the one performing "Fuller House" theme song. The singer now said that she could not say no when the job was offered to her because "Full House" was a huge part of her childhood. Speaking with E News, Jepsen said she was so excited by the project that even as she was already recording the song, she will be "squealing in between takes."
"Fuller House" will premiere on Netflix on Friday, February 26.
