"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" update is now available on almost all major platforms, such as the PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360. Konami also threw in a Patch 1.02 for Metal Gear online with this new update.
Patch 1.02 for "Metal Gear" online incorporates a new set of challenging tasks, new emblems, and new items to upgrade user experience. Gamers can now build a fourth FOB base. The new patch can take up around 710 MB of the PS4 and 400 MB of the Steam.
Konami incorporated several novel features on this patch, Gearnuke reported. First, it now has a custom FOB camera and mine replacement. Second, Raiden and Cyborg Ninja outfits are available in the FOBs. There are now grade 9 weapons available to make the game much more exciting. Mission tactics would never be the same with these new weapons.
A new feature is that gamers are now allowed to customized. Nameplates have been added by Konami. At the same time, there are new colors and camo patterns added to FOBs.
Apart from the new emblems and fourth unlockable FOB, new challenge tasks are available for gamers. "FOB Mission Event: The Skulls Attack" has been added. Advanced player FOB missions are also now available.
The game is now, even more, interactive with this new patch. Gamers can add players they ant to supper directly. The players must be on their friends list. Gamers can also add diversified ranking conditions and establish time period functionality to rankings. As a result, comparative stats are more comprehensive. Players can matchmake with other players that have higher rankings than them.
Seeing that "Metal Gear" is doing so well, it seems that the company would like to produce a better and more exciting "Metal Gear" game in the future. On the career page of its Japanese website, Konami is apparently looking for various professionals to help the company realize this goal. The project is referred to as the "New Metal Gear." The company wants a wide range of highly-skilled development professionals" to work on this.
This new listing comes in the wake of Hideo Kojima leaving Konami, even if he insisted he is only on a vacation. Kojima is the creative mind behind the "Metal Gear Solid" series. While still silent on whether he is still part of Konami or not, IGN already reported that he has founded a new independent game studio already: Kojima Productions. Not only that, the studio has already taken on its first project, partnered with Sony no less. This is a new franchise that IGN called "slightly more edgy."
