Monday Night Football will return to New Orleans' Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Week 15 as the Saints will face the Detroit Lions in a prime time match. The game marks the Lions' first trip to the said venue since their wild card loss to the New Orleans Saints back in 2012.
The Saints are coming off from their first victory over their NFC South Division opponent this season. The team's 5-8 results against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday snapped their four-game losing streak in recent weeks.
Even with that triumph, the Saints still sit at the bottom of the NFC South leaderboard along with the Bucs and the Falcons. After their latest win, they may still have a chance to earn a playoff spot.
Detroit is fresh off from a loss at St. Louis. Following three consecutive wins last month, the Lions have lost two straight games, the most recent of which was the 21-14 defeat by the Rams last weekend.
Although these clubs have less than stellar records as of late, they have shown throughout the current season that they should not be underestimated. Detroit, for instance, finally defeated the Green Bay Packers earlier this year for the first time in more than two decades. New Orleans, on the other hand, crushed the Atlanta Falcons at around he same time in a match that started their three-game winning streak.
Monday night's matchup will also feature two of the NFL's best quarterbacks--the Saints' Drew Brees and the Lions' Matthew Stafford. The game will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET (or 7:30 p.m. CT) and will be aired lived on ESPN.
Fans who are away from their TV sets can keep tabs on the game online as the network will also stream it live on its WatchESPN site. They can access the channel by logging in using credentials for an existing cable TV subscription. The same service can also be enjoyed by users on the go by downloading WatchESPN's free Android, iOS, or Windows Phone app.
Another way to catch the Lions vs. Saints match is to use Sling TV. Those who have a working subscription with the said service can watch the live stream of the game on their desktop or mobile by using the Android or iOS application. Sling TV is a paid service to begin with, but it does offer a free 7-day trial period which anyone can avail. If users cancel the trial subscription before it expires, they will not be charged.
Monday Night Football featuring Detroit and New Orleans will also be aired live on the 'Radio Sirius XM' station. Fans can hear the game live online right from the station's website.
