Netflix released the first teaser for the highly awaited "Fuller House" on Thursday. The trailer showed that spinoff will be launched on the streaming site on Feb. 26, 2016.
The Tanner family is back. 20 years after the events of the very popular '90s sitcom. Set to Miranda Lambert's crooning of "The House that Built," the teaser showed off what the Tanner house now looks like - certainly an updated version of the big family's San Francisco residence. While the footage showed off the interiors of the house, the voices of the family pleasantly bickering and talking sweetly to each other can be heard.
"Fuller House" would be centering on the lives of adult Tanner daughters: recently widowed DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) and younger sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin). Unfortunately, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided not to reprise their roles so the youngest sister, Michelle Tanner will not be part of the show.
Throughout the season, fans can expect to see original cast members pop up, including John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and Lori Loughlin.
Just recently, Loughlin gave an exclusive interview to The Celebrity Café to talk about the upcoming spinoff and what she's currently busy with. She said she already did three episodes of the 13 total episodes.
With regard fans fervently hoping to catch a glimpse of the Olsen twins on the show, Loughlin also already told Huffington Post that these hopes would be dashed. She shared that all episodes have already been filmed and the twins did not turn up, even once. The possibility of a cameo in future seasons is also very low, Loughlin said.
Still, even without the Olsen twins, Loughlin shared that filming this Netflix spinoff was really fun, feeling a lot like the old times."After you got over the initial surreal experience of like, 'Wow, we're here again,' we sort of fell back into line exactly as we were," said Loughlin. "And we had a lot of laughs and a lot of good times and it was a lot like picking up right where we left off."
Loughlin also shared what fans can expect from the show. "So, for the very first episode we were all there ... then we came on throughout the season and we each did different episodes on our own," Loughlin explained. "I did one episode where it was just me and the girls ... we were all in the first one, and then sprinkled out through the rest of the season."
Apart from the Olsen twins, the dog that played "Comet" on "Full House" would not be there as well. He died in 1998. A new dog however, can be seen in the trailer.
