With all three Married At First Sight couples successfully tying the knot, they will move on to the next stage of their marriage- The Wedding Night. Most couples in life traditionally enter their matrimonial day looking forward to consummating their marriage after the reception is over and the cans drag behind the car. Having just met, and getting to know their spouses' names, the participants will have to spend their first night together, which might prove to be a little awkward- to say the least. How did each couple handle it?
First, we have Tres and Vanessa. Both of them confirm that they each believe that they have a good chemistry. Tres' aunt is happy that he has married Vanessa. Tres tells the camera that he is “100 percent down for consummating the marriage tonight,” but he wouldn't force Vanessa into anything. The two are warm towards each other, and kiss and hold hands, but they did not consummate the marriage. Vanessa says it's too soon and wants it to be meaningful.
In the morning, they open wedding gifts and later have brunch with family after they find out that they will get to take their honeymoon in St. John of the Virgin Islands. Once there, Tres confesses that he dated and partied a lot in the past, and he hopes that Vanessa will not judge his past. She worries a little after that admission that he might not be ready for marriage.
Ashley seems to have warmed up to David and was impressed with how well he had treated her in the few hours that they spent together. She says that she thinks that the possibility of attraction and love can grow in their marriage. In the Honeymoon Suite, David asks,”Serious question time, can I have your number? I'll put you in as 'wife'” They also did not go beyond sharing their bed.
This couple gets to take their honeymoon in Arizona. We see them riding bikes and eating. David doesn't like to eat green things(they brought them green pea soup). Ashley is a vegetarian. They don't appear to let that come between them.
Sam doesn't seem as positive about her relationship with Neil yet. She admits that she doesn't find him that attractive- as she was hoping to at least find him a little attractive. She won't let that make her give up at this point and says she's willing to wait and see what happens. Neil feels great about it, though. His grandparents had an arranged marriage, and he is hoping that their relationship will grow like theirs did.
Neil breaks the ice by coming in their room wearing big, red footie pajamas. He gets the laugh that he was looking for, but she definitely wants him to take it off, as she was weirded out by them. They end their night sleeping on their own side of the bed- tucked in firmly. Sam tells the cameras that they will not be consummating the marriage “the next night, or the night after that...” Before they leave for their honeymoon, Sam is honest with Neil, and tells him she's not physically attracted to him. She says she knows he is the type of person she needs to a husband, though.
They depart for their honeymoon to St. Croix. While there, they go snorkeling, although, Sam is worried that there might be sharks. She is making an effort to create a bond, though. In her confession to the camera, she says that she would be more romantically attracted to him if he would have checked up on her more to make sure she was okay. Physically, they are still awkward with each other. They don't hold hands or anything. They do bring some levity toward their situation with a pillow fight- which ends with pillow barriers between them in bed.
