With the NFL season in full swing, seeing Seattle Seahawks star Russell Wilson spend time away from the field is a rare occurrence. However, it looks like family takes precedence above anything in the Wilson household. The quarterback is photographed taking time off from the grid iron to show support to his little sister, Anna Wilson. While Russell is a Super Bowl contender, Anna is not trailing far behind regarding athleticism.
"Anna, she's as tough as it gets," shared Russell in an interview with USA Basketball. The Seattle Seahawks star added, "She's very intelligent; she has probably more drive than anybody you'll ever meet. Just watching her and getting to see her play is really exciting for me. I don't get to see her all the time so to see her against some of the best talents and see how well she does is always exciting."
The football star's little sister is an up and coming basketball player. Currently busy making a name for herself in the WNBA, Anna has been a household name for young basketball fans across the country. Adding to her accomplishments is an 81-53 win of the Bellevue High School over the Lady Spartans on Monday. The said game was attended by none other than big brother Russell and his girlfriend, Ciara.
"I remember looking out the window of the house and seeing her when she was two, three years old, doing reverse layups with my dad," reminisced Russell in the USAB interview. He added, "It just brings back so many amazing memories. She's the soul of the earth; she's the light of the world. Just watching her play is amazing. She's got so much talent and she's going to Stanford; it's going to be really cool to see her play."

Anna led the Bellevue team with 22 points in a face off against the Lady Spartans, according to Stanwood Camano News. Meanwhile, the Stanwood team, which has a 2-1 record, was headed by Haley Strowbridge, who garnered 14 points. Ashley Alter and Jillian Heichel pitched in 11 points each. As for Ashley Bierer, she raked in 10 points for the Lady Spartans.
The little sister of Russel is said to be attending Stanford University following her stint with Bellevue. Tara VanDerveer, the coach of the Stanford team, officially confirmed the inclusion of Anna as one of the top four recruited players for the institution. She shared via San Jose Mercury News, "I rank this class No. 1. We are absolutely thrilled to have these four coming in. They are fantastic young people and obviously great players and great students."
