Jill & Jessa: Counting On will premiere Sunday, December 13 at 8/7C on TLC, and promises to give fans a inside look at the Duggar daughters' lives in the wake of the revelation that their oldest brother Josh was hiding a life of infidelity and sex addiction.
In an extended preview for the upcoming three-part special, several of the 19 siblings - including Joy-Anna, Jana, Jill and Jessa - tearfully speak out about how Josh's "secret life" has hurt them.
"Life over the past four months has been pretty crazy for my family," Jessa says, 23. "There are tough days, but I feel like as each week goes by...there's healing in this."
"Everybody makes their own decisions and everybody makes their own choices, but they're not the only ones that suffer the consequences," adds Jill, 24. "Going forward, we will come out of this fire and we'll be stronger as a family unit.
Anna Duggar, Josh's wife, also tearfully describes her devastation after learning the truth. "I was just like, 'I'm gonna wake up and everything's gonna be okay. And this really, this can't be true," says the mother of four in the clip.
In August, less than three months after it was revealed that Josh once molested five underage girls, the former reality star confessed to struggling with a pornography addiction and cheating on his wife amid reports he had active accounts on Ashley Madison, a website created to facilitate adulterous affairs. The Duggar family's show, "19 Kids and Counting," was cancelled just a few months later.
However, as Josh spends time in rehab, the Duggar family has continued to move on with their lives. Jill & Jessa: Counting On will reportedly follow Jill and Derick Dillard and their infant son, Israel, as they minister in Central America, and will focus on the marriage of Ben and Jessa Seewald and Jessa's subsequent pregnancy.
In another extended clip from the upcoming show, Jill is shown comparing her pregnant sister's size to her own. When the episode was filmed, Jessa was nearing her due date for son Spurgeon, who was born on on Nov. 5.
"You are not as big as I was, either," Jill tells her younger sister, claiming she was "massive."
"Yes, I am," Jessa replies. "I just wear lots of dark colors."
Jessa also jokes about misjudging how much space she currently takes up: "I always think I'm narrower than I am," she admits. "I always think, 'Oh I can fit through there.'"
The 23-year-old's labor complications are also documented in the show, including a snippet of Michelle Duggar's anxious 911 call.
"Something started to go wrong," Jessa's 21-year-old Jinger Duggar explains, as the camera shows Jessa being held by her husband, Ben. "Oh, this is painful," Jessa cries.
Michelle is then heard talking to a 911 operator: "Mother is bleeding after birth," she says, as Jessa gets loaded into an ambulance.
Thankfully, today, both Jessa and baby Spurgeon -- whose nickname is Quincy -- are happy and healthy.
Part one of Jill & Jessa: Counting On will air Dec. 13 at 8 p.m./7c with a 90-minute premiere. The subsequent specials will air at 9 p.m./8c on Dec. 20 and 27.
