Ben Affleck, who stars in the upcoming and much-awaited flick from Warner Bros., Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, admits that the film was so important to him that he built his schedule around the movie's production and that he now feels immense pressure about the results of the expected blockbuster.

The star told Variety that expectations were really high for the film to do well. "I think there is a ton of pressure on it," Affleck said of the film, in which he plays Batman. "I mean I would be bulls-ting you to say there isn't."

Affleck revealed that the 2016 release will rake in "big time" after he and the whole production team under Warners CEO Kevin Tsujihara invested so much in the movie.

Of the CEO, Affleck said:  "I was really impressed by the fact that he cared. It was not like some guys, especially at that level, where it would be, 'We need a franchise movie ... we just need a movie with the names Batman and Superman on it and it doesn't matter what it is. For him, that wasn't it. He was willing to take longer to make the movie to get it right to make it a movie of higher quality."

Affleck went on to say that after so much work put into it, it would be a "disappointment" if the film failed in the box office, People reports.

Jennifer Garner's estranged husband also went on to tell Variety how the studio has decided to focus on exploring possibilities for DC Comics: "You'll see next year they are going to have a great year. They are now developing ... probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world."

In another report from Variety, it seems that Warner is looking forward a robust return on sales in 2016 with releases like Batman v Superman in March, Suicide Squad, in August, and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Other DC flicks are likewise in the works including a spinoff, The Batman, and Justice League, which will start production in spring.

Affleck is also simultaneously working with Gavin O'Connor's The Accountant: Live By Night, a movie based on a Dennis Lehane novel. The production schedules of these films have been moved to make way for Batman v Superman
