The sequel of long-running, 1987-95 sitcom "Full House" will be aired in 2016. However, the Olsen twins, who played the role of youngest Tanner siblings, will not join the sequel, "Fuller House."
Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) confirmed to Huffington Post that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not appear in the sequel and even a cameo in any episode. "No, I don't think they're going to make a cameo. They didn't this season," Loughlin told HuffPost.
Loughlin opened up what she felt during filming the reboot to the source. She admitted it felt like old times. "After you got over the initial surreal experience of like, 'Wow, we're here again,' said Loughlin. "And we had a lot of laughs and a lot of good times and it was a lot like picking up right where we left off," she added.
Executive producer Robert L. Boyett also confirmed that Olsen twins will not appear on the upcoming sitcom. In July, Netflix boss Ted Sarandos stated that the twins "were "teetering" on the possibility of appearing" according to TVLine.
The cast of "Fuller House" includes Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Cameron Bure, John Stamos (Uncle Jesse), Sweetin, Bob Saget, Scott Weinger, Dave Coulier, and Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit.
Blast from the past, in May 2015, E News reported that executive producer Robert L. Boyett released a statement about the absence of the twins. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House," he said.
Stamos confirmed Michelle Tanner will not appear in the series. He said he called other casts of the series, however, "they're onto a different phase of their lives."Despite some have different phase in their lives, Stamos said everything is ok between them.
