'19 Kids and Counting' Jim Bob Duggar Urges Josh Duggar To Sell Family Home to Protect Their Property

The Daily Mail made a discovery that shows evidence Josh and Anna Duggar, at the urging of Duggar patriarch Jim Bob, had sold the couple's five-bedroom home back in August in a bid to protect the property.

The house was sold to ALB Investments LLC for $65,000 (which equated to a $10,000 profit) on August 24. This was a mere four days after Josh had to publicly admit his secret philandering behind his wife's back on August 20 - around the time hackers exposed his subscription to the adultery-pandering dating site, Ashley Madison.

The report also claims that the Duggars' attorney, Travis W. Story, seems to have set up this company on the same day. According to the documents filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State, Travis Story, a close friend and associate of the Duggar family, is the registered agent of ALB Investments LLC. The report further details that the firm has the same location as the sold property.

However information on the real owners of the investment company is confidential and protected under law. An LLC is commonly used in business to provide a measure of legal protection for the assets of company owners and partners.

The house was also the first one ever owned by Josh and Anna, and the one they called home after leaving Washington D.C. The report also details how a Duggar insider says that the couple never intended to sell the house that they had only recently bought some eight months prior to the sale.

The wisdom behind the transactions appear clearer after it emerged that Danica Dillon, or Ashley Stamm-Northup in real life, the porn star who had intimate relations with Josh, is now suing him for half a million US dollars in damages  for "physical and emotional injuries," details a report in In Touch Weekly.

Further input from the family insider points out that Jim Bob Duggar must have seen this coming and as such was the force behind the transaction. "Jim Bob [Duggar family patriarch] may seem like he just fell off the turnip truck but he's savvy when it comes to his investments and real estate."

The sale seems legitimate, however, says Professor Eugene Volokh of the UCLA School of Law.

Before falling on hard times since the sex scandal, Anna and Josh Duggar had been living comfortably with their four children in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Josh, the eldest son in the reality TV family of 19 Kids and Counting fame, suffered a series of setbacks when information about his illicit sexual activities leaked out to the press.
