Due to the deafening silence from Nintendo Direct regarding the release dates of Pokemon Z and Pokemon GO, various reports have surfaced regarding the speculated release dates of these games.
The most recent reports say Pokemon Z, Pokemon GO and the Pokemon XY and Z movie will have more details about their release date announced at Christmas time through Coro-Coro magazine. iDigital Times mentions that the November issue of CoroCoro magazine might hold the key. The issue featured a blue-gemmed Zygarde Core and a preview saying that there will be some Pokémon news for 2016 published in the December issue of the magazine.
However, it was not specified whether the news will be about the Pokémon Z or the Pokémon XY & Z anime.
Meanwhile, the official website for Pokémon pegs the release date for Pokémon GO in iPhone and Android in an as of yet unspecified date in 2016. Many believe it will be in the early part of the year.
Some of the highlights of Pokémon GO include using real-world location information (i.e. the players' own neighborhoods and communities) in playing the game. Players will use these locations to search for Pokémon. The intention is to have the game series use "open and social experiences, such as connecting with other players to enjoy trading and battling Pokémon," the official statement said.
Another thing to watch out for is the Pokémon GO Plus device to help players play the game without looking at the smartphone by utilizing Bluetooth. LED and vibration facilitate the notifications of updates or the appearance of a Pokémon nearby.
Pokémon GO has close ties with the firm Google, and as such, it will be normal for users to have high expectations for the game. Niantic, Inc. is developing Pokémon GO, the same firm originally founded by Google Earth co-creator John Hanke.
Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo Co., Ltd., will work on the Pokémon GO project.
Niantic is also famous for producing Ingress, an augmented reality mobile game that uses GPS technology to create a sci-fi story that uses real world data to create it. The popularity of the game is now at 12 million downloads globally.
