Donald Trump is one of the most flamboyant and controversial Republican candidates ever to run for the presidential seat. And his home is as excessively opulent as one expects it to be.
As a presidential aspirant who is running to win, Trump knows how much he has to shell out to run a successful campaign. As a comparison, Obama's campaign ran up a tab reaching an estimated USD 1 billion in 2012, and this year might even exceed that.
In an earlier interview with People, Trump affirmed that he can afford such a campaign as evidenced by the sheer luxury of his New York 66th floor Penthouse. And he also thinks that he'll win.
A peep into his crib -shared with wife Melania and son Barron, 9 - will show just how lavish and "liquid" Trump claims to be. Of his wealth, he says: "I'm very liquid. I can spend whatever I want."
The Daily Mail reports that Trump's New York City, the three-level penthouse at the Trump Tower is accessed through a gold and diamond front door. Stepping inside, one is regaled with a sight of floor-to-ceiling marble, with ceiling paintings from classical Greek mythology.
The overall feel is definitely a golden and excessive splendor reminiscent of Louis XIV. The tone and degree of luxury was designed by the late Angelo Donghia who is known as "the Saint Laurent of sofas." It was he who made sure that the total environment paid careful attention to ceilings and "fat" furniture.

Melania's office in the meantime displays a Louis Vuitton case of jewelry which are her own designs. The set is a collection of watches, rings, bracelets and earrings for QVC that is sold for USD10 to 162. The gold, pearl and crystal accents in watches and drop earrings and chokers all reflect the opulence that the Trump name represents.
