Fans of the Japanese anime-based video game Pokémon franchise will have to mark November 15 on their calendar; video game composer and director Junichi Masuda is scheduled to make an appearance on the Japanese television show Pokémon Get TV to make a significant announcement about the development of the game.
While details of Masuda's guesting on the television show remains uncertain, the rumor mill reports that he would finally make one important announcement, the release date of Pokémon Z, the much-awaited next installment to the Pokémon X and Y.
There has been initial speculation that the release date of the Pokémon Z will be announced in the Japanese magazine CoroCoro.
However, fans were disappointed when the October issue of CoroCoro magazine came out without details about the official release date. Fresh rumors have emerged that the release of Pokémon Z will be announced in the November issue of CoroCoro. Masuda's November 15 guesting on Pokemon Get TV has further fueled expectations that an announcement is forthcoming this month, reported Ecumenical News.
It has been three years since Pokémon X and Y were released, and fans have been clamoring for something new since then. One thing that has been stated about Pokémon Z is that not only will it have one legendary character but two more, as Zygarde will be joined by Xerneas and Yveltal, both legendary characters from the last two iterations of Pokémon.
It should be known that the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine disclosed some information about the Pokémon X and Y games, but details of Pokémon Z will need to wait until next month.
Another report by Movie News Guide added that a three-year gap since the release of Pokémon X and Y is sufficient to generate sufficient fan awareness about a new game. With the three year lapse, it is highly likely that Pokémon Z will be hitting the shelves next year.
The website also speculated that Pokémon Go will be released one month after Pokémon Z is officially released.
Three Legendary Pokemon to Join Pokémon Z
Another reason to excite the gaming fans is a report that three legendary Pokemons including Xerneas and Yvelta from Pokemon X and Pokemon Y respectively, will be joining Pokémon Z, said Christian Post. Also rumored to join the next Pokemon games are Dark Mewtwo, possibly the third Mega Evolution for Mewtwo.
The rumor previously surfaced after IGN aired a report saying that a "Dark Mewtwo" might appear in Bandai Namco's Pokken Tournament as well as Pokemon Z. Just to clarify, a new trailer for Pokken Tournament has been released clarifying that "Dark Mewtwo" is officially named Shadow Mewtwo, Kotaku reported.
