Sadie Robertson, the 18-year-old star of the reality TV show Duck Dynasty, model and Live Original author said that her personal prayer room is her special place to talk to God and prepare herself for the daily battles and struggles life has to offer.
The daughter of Korie Howard Robertson and Willie Robertson said she was inspired to build her prayer room after watching the faith-based film War Room by the Kendrick brothers.
"The movie War Room really inspired me-so here is mine. What a war room is all about is a room secluded from anything else-a room where its solely for you and God to talk," Sadie writes on a photo she posted a photo on her Instagram account (@legitsadierob). "It is for you to prepare for the daily battles & struggles we all go through. For you to have a pre-day, mid-day or post-day talk or cry with God."
She said that she hopes that her prayer room also encourages others to create their own special and quiet place where they can connect and communicate with God through prayers.
Sadie decorated her prayer room with positive messages, like "Pray" and "Send it up to God." She also added the cozy green and gray room with dream catchers and a patterned rug to imbibe positive thoughts and feel the power of prayer. The teenage Robertson also added a notebook so she can write down her thoughts
She added, "It is for you to find your identity in HIM! To find your strength in HIM! I encourage everyone to find a war room of your own. Maybe it's in your closet, maybe it's a little wooden camper, or maybe it's just in your car. Take that time out of your day to focus on the most important relationship in your life, and make it personal."
War Room hit theaters on Aug. 28 and focuses on the lives of Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, whose seemingly perfect lives are crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. However, Elizabeth's life is changed when she meets Miss Clara, an elderly prayer warrior who teaches her how to establish a battle plan of prayer for her family.
The overtly faith-based drama, which stars T.C. Stallings, Karen Abercrombie, Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore, shocked Hollywood by earning a staggering $11 million in its box-office debut its opening weekend despite playing in only 1,135 theaters.
