Game developer 2K Sports has released new update for its hugely successful basketball simulation video game NBA 2K16 to fix some issues, particularly in the game's MyCareer mode.

Design and Trend said the current MyCareer mode does not allow users to see their socks during a game. In addition to the no socks issues, 2K Sports has also introduced two new sneakers in the NBA 2K16, including the LeBron XIII and the Curry 2. The additional sneakers allow players to edit and equip to other players when editing the game's rosters.

The web site stated, "The shoes can also be purchased for your MyPlayer for the price of 2,750 VC for the Lebron's and 2,000 VC for the Curry 2. 2K Sports also recently released a highly-anticipated console patch for the PS4 and Xbox One that fixed various bugs. One of the major fixes in the patch is improvements to the Pro-Am mode. Gamers should now be able to easily play games and have no problems. Improvements to MyCareer and MyCourt as well as MyGM and MyLeague have been made as well."

In a separate report, OperationSports explained that the latest update in NBA 2K16 would enable players to view and choose the Stance socks but not the Team socks in the MyCareer mode. Also, 2K Sports reminded players they cannot adjust the length of the socks and add new features.

The Lebron and Curry shoes can be customized to give users additional virtual currencies (VCs) Lebron will give players additional 2,750 VC while Curry will give you an extra 2,000 VC, the report added.

Below are some of the fixes and updates released by 2K Sports for NBA 2K16:

  • Resolved a rare case where the game would hang when entering/exiting the Tattoo editor when customizing the tattoos on your MyPLAYER.
  • Addressed an issue on the main menu where the title would freeze for a period of time before proceeding to the selected action (e.g. loading a MyCAREER save).
  • Tuned player sweat so that its effects are much more visible when playing longer quarter lengths.
  • Players will no longer slide/skate when pressing the block button during an inbound state. It was funny while it lasted.
  • Tuned crowd excitement and intensity on made buzzer beaters.
  • Resolved a case where certain players (e.g. Kristaps Porzingis) would have their hairstyle change slightly when zooming in the camera very close in replay.
