Mortal Kombat X DLC Pack 2 Release Date: Ed Boon’s latest Tweet Teases Havik and Dramin

Mortal Kombat X director Ed Boon is yet again teasing fans with another Twitter posting. This time he has posted a re-rendered image of Havik and Drahmin, both of whom last appeared in 2006 for Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

It seems that the likeness of the two characters has been doctored to include higher-definition detail. Whether or not Havik and Drahmin will make a future appearance in MKX remains uncertain. Design & Trend believes that Boon may just be joking about the fact that the two characters never had fully rendered faces.

"Can't feel my face, we can't feel our face when we're with you! And we hate it. And we have it," Ed wrote in the Twitter posting concerning Havik and Drahmin.

This is not the first time that Boon has teased about characters both old and new. Previously, the Mortal Kombat co-creator cryptically tweeted references to Meat, Baraka, Fujin, and Rain. So far, none of these postings have resulted in meaningful evidence that suggests a Kombat Pack 2 is in the works.

Officially, the earlier Kombat Pack was supposed to be a one-time deal. Still, a second Kombat Pack should not be entirely ruled out as plans are always subject to change.

There are still many characters that fans wish to see become playable on Mortal Kombat X. Some of those fighters were in the official MKX comics, but not included in the game. Whether they will appear on the selection screen, one day depends on the bigwigs at NetherRealm Studios.

Amongst favorite characters fans want to see are Sindel and Smoke. For now, those two appear as nonplayable characters. This has not stopped enterprising aficionados from modding the game to play as those two fighters.

The consensus in the rumor mill seems to indicate that a Kombat Pack 2, or something similar, will be released next year. However, all gossip should not be taken at face value.

Earlier, the first Kombat Pack saw the release of four playable characters - two classic and two new. The new characters included horror icons Predator and Jason Voorhees. Players were delighted to see classic fighters Tanya and Tremor thrown into the fray. All four fighters were sold either as a standalone offer or in a discounted bundle.Released in April, Mortal Kombat X is playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC and various mobile platforms. Unfortunately, there is no version available on older consoles such as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
