The Duck Dynasty family is at it again, dishing out advice to their fellow reality television family the Duggars of the defunct 19 Kids and Counting show.
Jase and Missy Robertson recently gave some well-meaning words to the Duggar sisters, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, about how to handle the difficulties and bad publicity that the Duggars of 19 Kids and Counting have been receiving this year, People reports.
"We've talked about forgiveness and consequences for your actions. That's just something that they're gonna have to deal with," Jase Robertson says, in reference to Jill and Jessa's need to move forward from public scandal.
How the Duggar sisters have taken the Robertsons' unsolicited advice remains unknown.
But, it isn't the first time the Duck Dynasty family has spoken out to the Duggars, and it is easy to see why they would be so concerned.
Ever since Josh Duggar's unsavory sexual exploits was exposed in the public eye (starting with his past molestation of five girls under ten when he was a teen, his recent subscription to the adultery-pandering website Ashley Madison and subsequent hookups with two porn stars), the Duggar family has taken hit after hit, including TLC axing the family's long-running 19 Kids and Counting reality TV show last May.
Now as Jill and Jessa start to embark on their own spin-off series, the controversy won't let up, making it difficult for the Duggar sisters to move past the negative publicity. But this is something they should expect and deal with, the Duck Dynasty couple insists.
Missy, the wife to Jase, says, "my advice to anybody would be, you know, you've got to look within yourself. Forget the cameras, forget the media, who cares what anybody else says - this is your life."
The Robertsons understand more than anyone what it feels like to be at the receiving end of negative publicity, such as when the family became too discouraged to continue the show after the Robertson patriarch Phil was suspended for his stand on homosexuality and race, Perez Hilton reports.
Jase felt that that words coming from a fellow reality TV show family who had undergone similar things would mean a lot to the hard-hit Duggars.
Previously, Josh Duggar also got some heartfelt advice from another Duck Dynasty family member, Jep Robertson who himself suffered from molestation as a child. Jep was reported to have said that Josh should "get on a tough skin and just keep doing what [he should] do," Inquisitr reports.
