With Fallout 4 release date fast approaching, there are many anticipated things on the way. Bethesda Softworks already confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows PC. The official launch date for Fallout 4 is scheduled for November 10, 2015. Meanwhile, the Pip-Boy edition was recently restocked, but sold out within the morning.
Getting the Game on Release Day
As with the nature of major game releases, not everyone will be getting the game on the first day. But supply will eventually catch up to demand in coming weeks.
For those opting to buy the download version of the game, it is important to take note of Fallout 4's large file size.
Diehard Fallout fans can ensure that they get the game on time by preordering. The game is available for preorder at large retailers including GameStop, BestBuy and Amazon. There is also an option for consumers to purchase a Season Pass at participating stores. These are available on Xbox One and PC. Curiously, Sony has delayed offering the Fallout 4 Season Pass on its own PlayStation store. Though the situation is expected to change in coming weeks, Bethesda is still waiting on Sony's final word of approval. That situation was recently explained in a tweet from Bethesda spokesman Pete Hines.
Pip Boy Edition Selling like Hotcakes
Fallout aficionados will definitely want to get their hands of a real-life pip-boy that literally attaches to the wrist. Unveiled earlier this year, the replica of the iconic device functions via a companion application. Hence, fans will theoretically experience a part of the Fallout universe in their daily lives, provided they are brave enough to wear the pip-boy in public. Be warned, those wearing the device will definitely get hard stares from the general public.
Already, pre-orders for the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition have been selling out. On Monday, Polygon reported that all three versions of the Pip-Boy edition were back in stock on Bethesda's online store. However, they were quickly sold out before noon, Eastern Standard Time. According to the publication, the Pip-Boy edition section on contains the "add to wishlist" option.
Consumers who missed out on the opportunity will expect to see Pip-Boy editions being sold back out at insanely high prices on popular auction-bidding sites such as eBay. Normally, the Pip-Boy editions sell for $120 each.
'The Wanderer' Trailer Released
Four days ago, Bethesda Softworks posted the so-called "The Wanderer" trailer that features the protagonist exploring the post-apocalyptic wasteland. The theme song happens to be the 1960s classic "The Wanderer", which was recorded by Dion. This is appropriate for the subject matter of the video, which was launched on YouTube.
