Netflix has released the teaser for season 2 of its original series Daredevil featuring famous characters from the Marvel Universe: Elektra and The Punisher, further ratcheting up fan interest for the next installment of the franchise at the recently concluded New York Comic-Con 2015.
Loyal fans of the series are eager to find what will happen to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and his friends and are curious if Elektra will be the next villain or an ally of our hero. It would be exciting to see how The Punisher and Elektra will play out in the next season of Daredevil.
The teaser is mostly a recap of the last season showing Murdock's transition to the red-clad vigilante, Daredevil. However, the end of the teaser show Murdock with some friends, including Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) sitting inside a church looking very somber, reported MNR Daily.
From the background, a voiceover can be heard, with Matt asking the priest why he feels guilty doing the things that he does, fighting crime. The priest replied that his guilt only proves that his work is still not complete and there are many things that still needs to be done, particularly in protecting and upholding the law and punishing criminals.
Upholding justice in Hell's Kitchen is not without challenges, and Matt Murdock as the Daredevil sometimes has to bend the rules to protect the innocent and put to justice the wicked. However, his past actions of doing good do not always provide him the peace of mind that he seeks.
Marvel TV has released little details about the upcoming Daredevil Season 2. However, we do know that The Walking Dead alumni Jon Bernthal will be playing Frank Castle, aka, the Punisher and Elodie Yung will play the Greek ninja assassin named Elektra. Aside from the two, we still do not know if the next installment of the Daredevil franchise will include other casts, said DesignNTrend.
