For one, the 2016 Lexus IS 250 offers a new exterior but still maintain its signature spindle grille, L-theme LED daytime running lights and 18-inch five-spoke wheels. The next generation Lexus is after all a luxury sports sedan that tries to balance luxury, agility, and sportiness. The 2016 Lexus IS comes in three models, the - IS 200t, IS 300 AWD, and IS 350, said Miami's Community Newspaper.
The 2016 Lexus IS comes with an optional Premium Plus Package, with a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers. Buyers can also opt for a heated steering wheel when the weather is extremely cold. The Lexus IS 350 adds the standard 18- inch five-spoke wheels and come with all-season tires.
For extra power, the 2016 Lexus IS is available in the turbocharged gas engine for the three engine options, including the rear-wheel drive (RWD), all-weather drive (AWD) and F SPORT models. But the Lexus 200t is being offered only for the RWD model only and is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with an intercooler paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Lexus 200t model can provide 241 horsepower with 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,650-4,400 rpm for that extra boost. Lexus claimed that their in-house engineers developed the turbocharged engine that was first used into the NX luxury utility hybrid for 2015 and modified it for IS 200t.
And for those who want more adventure, Lexus is also offering the IS 300 AWD for the all-weather drive system that is perfect for driving during bad weather. The 2016 Lexus IS 300 AWD is packing with 255 of horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque at 2,000-4,800 rpm. The IS 300 AWD is fitted with a modified 3.5- liter V-6 engine that is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. The IS 350 is available in both the Lexus RWD and Lexus AWD models.
