Mick, son of Formula racing legend Michael Schumacher, has proven his potential in following in his father's footsteps.

According to the Daily Mail UK, the 16-year-old recently finished in tenth place in overall standing during his first season in Formula 4 racing. He is currently signed on with Dutch racing team Van Amersfoort.

Schumacher Still Recovering at Family Home

In late 2013, Schumacher sustained a grievous head injury after a skiing accident in the French Alps. He was immediately placed into coma to save his life, and stayed for nearly half a year in Grenoble, France.

Schumacher was moved to a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland during the summer last year. However, his stay lasted for three months. Afterwards, he was moved back to his stately home overlooking the shore of Lake Geneva where he resides today.

The former Ferrari driver is being looked after by a team of doctors and nurses - all of whom have signed confidentiality agreements. His wife Corinna, and children Mick and Gina-Maria have maintained a veil of secrecy.

Attempts to Gain Details on Schumacher's Health Foiled

Security has been especially tight following a bizarre incident while Schumacher was still in a coma. Apparently, a journalist disguised as a priest tried sneaking into the Grenoble hospital room where Schumacher was staying.

In summer 2014, Schumacher's medical records were stolen and put on sale. Investigators arrested a suspect, who was later found hanging in his cell prior to the scheduled court hearing. It is unclear whether more people were involved.

Corinna has also gone on the offensive to protect her husband from media scrutiny. Earlier, she sought legal action against three German tabloids for allegedly misrepresenting the facts behind Michael's condition.

As of now, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm has kept a tight lid concerning the actual state of the F1 champion's health. For the time being, any news regarding Schumacher exists in the realm of speculation and gossip.
