Microsoft will offer four free games for Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers in the month of October. Two of these titles are for Xbox One, while the other two are for Xbox 360.
Every month, Gold subscribers get a handful of free games. AAA videogames do make it to the list from time to time - though most games available are indie titles. Happily though, Microsoft is offering two major games for this month.
Without further ado, here are the games that are free to play for those who have already payed for Xbox Live Games with Gold.
Valiant Hearts ($19.99 ERP)
From October 1-31, Xbox One owners will get a free copy of Valiant Hearts. The award-winning title takes place during the First World War. Players will take on the role of multiple memorable characters. Though placed in a rather cartoonish setting, the premise is paradoxically haunting and visceral.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Starting October 1 thru 15, Xbox 360 players will have complimentary access to Metal Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
Players take on the role of Big Boss, who is tasked with infiltrating a U.S. military black site in Cuba in 1975. Unlike previous Metal Gear titles, Ground Zeroes offers players a nonlinear, open-world style of gameplay.
The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season
This month, The Walking Dead videogame series is available on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 Console. The spinoff of the popular Walking Dead TV show forces players to make difficult decisions. Choices affect the outcome of the story.
Xbox One subscribers will have the privilege of free access from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15. That is almost an entire month.
Unfortunately, Xbox 360 owners will only get to play this game for free from Oct. 16 thru 31. For those who have not played The Walking Dead, this is one title not to be missed.
