Microsoft is scheduled to hold a major event on October 6 in New York City. It is the venue where the software giant is believed to launch a host of Windows 10 devices including the flagship Lumia 950 and its larger sibling, the Lumia 950 XL.

A new report now suggests that Microsoft is busy working on another, possibly mid-range, device called Lumia 750. It is reportedly spotted by Alan Mendelevich, founder and CEO of AdDuplex.

For those who are unfamiliar, AdDuplex is a network that provides platforms for developers to cross-promote the applications and games they made for Windows Phone devices. Mendelevich posted a tweet on Wednesday which hinted interesting details about the unannounced Lumia model.

According to the CEO's post, the handset will sport a 5-inch screen with a 720p (720x1280) display resolution. That roughly translates to a pixel density of 294ppi. Tech observers suggests that it might be the same Microsoft Lumia 750 that was featured in various leaks back in July along with the Lumia 550 and Lumia 850.

The alleged Windows 10 mobile device is also said to come in four variants with model numbers RM-1150, RM-1152, RM-1154 and RM-1156. Although it will be offered in four slightly different versions, all of them are reportedly furnished with the same 720p display mentioned above.

This leaked information also lines up with previous reports indicating that the company is developing six different, exclusively-branded Lumia smartphones under a new Windows Phone hardware restructuring process earlier announced by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Mendelevich's tweets further suggest that the Lumia 750 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 410 chipset under the hood. That Qualcomm processor is comprised of a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz along with an Adreno 306 GPU. It coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable memory. There will be an 8-megapixel primary camera partnered with a 5-megapixel camera in front. The handset is also packed with a 2,650mAh battery.

It is possible that he Lumia 750 could be launched during the Redmond-based tech company's October 6 event. The affair has been described as "massive" and will host the introduction not only of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL but also of the new Surface Pro 4 PC-tablet hybrid and next-generation Microsoft Band. Aside from those high-end gadgets, rumors hint that the company is also about to take the wraps off a handful of mid-range phones.
