Charlotte Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin has just posted a comical video on YouTube titled "How to Fit In the NBA." In the video, the player talks to his current and former teammates who give him hilarious advice on different aspects of being an NBA player.
The newest clip on Lin's YouTube channel features Landry Fields, Jerome Jordan, DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Johnson, Tyson Chandler, Kyle Korver, Kemba Walker, Dwight Howard, and Stephen Curry. The Hornets point guard begins the video by explaining that, "A lot of people ask me what it's like to be in the NBA. And over the past few years, former teammates and friends have given me advice on what it's like to fit in."
Lin has already made an impact on the Hornets off the court and has always been a funny personality. Earlier this month, the player made headlines when a Hornets Arena security guard refused to allow him into the premises and reportedly asked which team he is in. Lin teamed up with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to poke fun at the incident.
The 27-year-old "Linsanity" star has also made several prank videos in the past. This time he enlists the help of other NBA stars in an attempt to "fit in." A handful of fellow players show up including Kyle Korver who tells him that "shooting is all about the high socks." Phoenix Suns' Tyson Chandler shows Lin the proper way to wear pants, while the Rockets' Dwight Howard teaches him how to dance over a video call.
The 6-foot-3-inch Lin inked a two-year free-agent deal with the Hornets worth $4 million after playing for the Lakers in the last season. In his five professional seasons in the NBA, he has played for the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and now the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 11.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals for each game.
Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry is also in the video (see below), including a special appearance by his daughter Riley Curry. The young Curry wears a cute lavender hoodie and matching sweat pants in the clip. She stands between Lin and her father as she shows them how to do the popular song and dance hit called "Nae Nae."
It is great to have such a lively personality like Jeremy Lin in Charlotte's roster this season. However, it remains to be seen if Lin will also be able to bring that liveliness on the court. He is expected to play as the backup point guard to Kemba Walker but coach Steve Clifford has also mentioned the possibility of having Lin and Walker on the court simultaneously.
