The 2016 Chevy Camaro is expected to roll the streets in the next few months and is expected to give the latest Ford Mustang a good competition. Heck, some experts are even claiming that the new generation of Chevy Camaro can easily outran the latest 2016 Ford Mustang, both in terms of specs and price.

The 2016 Chevy Camaro is being touted as the best Camaro to roll from Chevy's factory. The next generation Camaro is sporting a sleeker body, improved platform, new engines, including better interior and exterior, said Cars Reviews.

Starting at $25,000 for its base model, the 2016 Chevy Camaro is considered cheap compared to its competitors, like the 2016 Ford Mustang and Toyota's GT86. The basic Mustang with the V6 will cost about $24,625, with the V8 model being $33,125.  The V-6 Camaro is priced at $28,190 including destination charges. The V-8-powered Camaro SS has been priced at $37,295, with destination charges included.

The engineers at Chevrolet completely reworked the design of the 2016 Camaro and department from the car maker's present line of cars. The 2016 Camaro will be sporting a smaller grille like the second generation Camaro and smaller but wider new headlights for bigger surface area to lit up.  The new design is moving away from the old big and wider grille and small integrated lights.

The top of the new Camaro will also be wider and lower for better aerodynamics, meaning drivers should expect an improving driving experience compared to its predecessor.

Like Ford's pony car, the Camaro has added a small turbocharged four-cylinder engine to its lineup, though unlike the Mustang the turbo four banger will act as the Camaro's base engine making 275 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Moving up, a 3.6-liter V6 is the mid-range engine offering 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque while a 6.2-liter V8 still acts the top-dog motor making 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque.

A separate report by TechNews Today revealed that the all new Chevy Camaro offers the latest and high-tech powertrains. Its new engineering design makes its body 28% structurally, removing all the excess weight from the fifth generation predecessor. The 2016 Chevy Camaro weighs 200 pounds less than the previous Camaros, the report said.

The 2016 Chevy Camaro's top model will have the same power as the Corvette. This means that a 6.2 liter aspirated V8 is capable of generating between 460 and 500 horsepower and up to 500 lb-ft of torque which should make the car faster than the current Mustang.

The new Camaro features an all new chassis that has a different platform with independent suspension all around the car while the brakes will now be provided by Brembo, providing a significant improvement in the system compared to the previous model.
