California's heatwave will continue throughout this Friday and the weekends. Areas hit hard include Los Angeles and Orange County, with temperature hitting the upper 90s.
According to ABC 7, a heat advisory is already in place in the Inland Empire, Santa Ana mountains and Orange County. Temperatures are not expected to return to normal until next Monday.
Thousands of blackouts have been reported throughout Southern California. The cause of this is because of increased power use and electrical systems overheating. So Cal Edison has reported that 2,000 customers are without power.
There are signs that the air will eventually get cooler. According to an OC Register report, the air will reach the upper 80s near water and 90s inland.
Meanwhile, in the San Francisco Bay Area, a Thursday heat advisory is no longer in place. Also, temperatures are steadily dropping as a result.
