2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Release Date, Specs, Review; A Bargain At $50,000

The 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is expected to hit the street in the coming months if not weeks, but experts are saying that for a starting price at $50,000 the new 2016 Ford Mustang is a bargain considering the amount of improvements Ford has added into the car.

According to Gazette Dubai, the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 is powered by a 5.2L V8 engine capable of producing 8000 rpm and between 300 and 529 horsepower of sheer muscle, 429ft-lbs of torque while being driven on the RWD system, with a custom-made cross-drilled braking and magnetic suspension.

The 2016 Ford Mustang is a six-speed muscle car with a light clutch that allows it to take on tight corners but still feel very stable. Because of the improved brake system, the driver will not feel any sign that the nose of the vehicle taking a dive when the chomp down. Ford is also being complimented for giving the new 2016 Ford some serious improvements in the vehicle as the underseer is almost non-existent.

The Ford web site provided this specs for the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350:

  • The 3.7L V6 offers up 300 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard on V6 Fastback model.
  • The 2.3L EcoBoost engines churns out 310 hp* and 320 lb.-ft. of torque.* Standard on EcoBoost® and EcoBoost Premium models.
  • The 5.0L V8 kicks out 435 hp* and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.* Standard on GT and GT Premium models.
  • The 5.2L V8 delivers 526 hp and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard on the Shelby GT350®

Available launch control and class-exclusive available Electronic Line-Lock enhance the performance feel of the Pony car, while available driving modes allow you to dial in the handling dynamics to your liking.

In a report, NSEAVOICE said the car weight 3,760lbs and is lighter than all the previous Mustang models. However, despite being lighter, the reduction in weight is aimed at improving its power and speed and not on fuel economy. The 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 runs at 21 miles per gallon on city driving and 21 miles per gallon on highway driving.

The report said, "Even so, the performance is not the thing that matters anymore with the GT350. Just by looking at the car, one can easily fall in love with the beauty that it is. The vehicle looks solid and muscular from every angle.

"The best part is with the GT350's V8 music that sounds superb. Not every day do we get to come across a great sounding V8 and the GT3350 offers just that. It is no wonder why many are already booking the vehicle today."

Of course you can customize your GT350, for an additional $6500, you can have the Track pack that comes with magnetic suspension along with firmer springs, front shock tower and rear differentials. An additional $7500 will give you the Technology package that comes with cooled and heated seating as well as navigation and automatic climate control.

The R package will cost your wallet an extra $13, 500 for the carbon-fibre wing along with wheels. The Electronics package is available for an additional $3000 and if you want the whole package the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is going to come in with a price tag of around $68,535.
