A ninth video released by the Center for Medical Progress focuses on Planned Parenthood's relationship with Advanced Bioscience Resources, a company that has reportedly harvested and sold fetal body parts at the organization's abortion clinics for over ten years. This latest video, which was released on Tuesday, shows a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies, including one who "just fell out" of the womb.
As in earlier videos released by the pro-life group, CMP activists pose as representatives from a human biologics company and speak with Dr. Katharine Sheehan, a former director of Planned Parenthood, Perrin Larton, procurement manager for ABR; and Cate Dyer, CEO of another fetal tissue procurement company, StemExpress.
In the beginning of the video, Sheehan tells the actors, "We have already a relationship with ABR."
Sheehan explains, "We've been using them for over 10 years, really a long time, just kind of renegotiated the contract. They're doing the big collections for government-level collections and things like that."
When one of the actors negotiates, "We return a portion of our fees to the clinics," Sheehan says, "Right, get a toe in and make it, make a pro-alright."
Perrin Larton, the Procurement Manager at ABR, is then shown discussing ABR's fetal tissue harvesting practice to a prospective buyer.
"I literally have had women come in and they'll go in the O.R. and they're back out in 3 minutes, and I'm going, 'What's going on?' Oh yeah, the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out," she said.
"And they have a smell. It's just, it's not right. It's kind of icky," Larton says of babies who have been killed with the drug digoxin.
Later in the disturbing video, Larton gives the undercover CMP activists two thumbs up - saying "We think that's good" when body parts are easily acquired from fully intact aborted babies.
The Washington Times reports that recent letter to Congress, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards admitted that affiliates have received up to $60 "per tissue specimen" after four House and Senate committees investigating concerns raised in eight undercover videos released by the center since July 14.
In an open letter to Congress released on Monday, CMP Project Lead David Daleiden urged lawmakers to hold Planned Parenthood accountable and stop using taxpayer money to fund the abortion organization in light of Richards' admissions of illegal activity.
"Richards admits that multiple Planned Parenthood affiliates have recently received payments of $45 to $60 'per tissue specimen' from various Tissue Procurement Organizations. Second, Richard admits that abortion procedure 'adjustments to facilitate fetal tissue donations' may occur at Planned Parenthood facilities," he notes.
"We believe these two admissions, of payments for specimens of fetal tissue and changes to abortion procedures in order to get better specimens, constitute prima facie evidence of the three points CMP has raised all along: 1) That Planned Parenthood sells aborted fetal tissue, 2) That Planned Parenthood changes the abortion procedure in order to get saleable tissue, and 3) That there is knowledge and approval of these practices from the top of the organization on down," he adds.
Daleiden concludes, "In the twisted world of baby parts trafficking from Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, there are few unbroken rules. After the serious admissions in Planned Parenthood's letter to Congress last week, it is imperative for lawmakers and law enforcement to act decisively to determine the full extent of Planned Parenthood and their proxies' lawbreaking, hold them accountable, and stop the taxpayer funding of these barbaric atrocities against humanity."
